Clinical Guidelines
Canopy Provider Panel
American Psychological Association (APA) has approved as policy a variety of professional practice guidelines and related criteria. These guidelines address psychological practice with particular populations or in particular areas without focusing on specific disorders or treatments. In addition, they have developed guidelines for recommended clinical interventions. Recommendations are based on a systematic review of the scientific evidence, a weighing of the benefits and harms of interventions, consideration of what is known about patient values and preferences, and consideration of the applicability of the evidence across demographic groups and settings.
Canopy provides the guidelines on this page as a resource and recommends that our network providers follow these guidelines.
